The best seasoned chicken wings from BBQ
Did you know that today is World Tapas Day? These spicy chicken wings with a smoky flavor from the barbecue taste truly heavenly! These are our favorite tapas dish. Extra delicious with our curry or fresh chipotle sauce, which of course you can give some extra spice with chili, pepper or cumin.
Ingredients for the BBQ chickenwings
600 grams of chicken wings Marinade:
1 tbsp brown caster sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika mild
A pinch of smoked hot paprika powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper Sauce:
100 ml Oilhorn curry
1 clove of pressed garlic
Pinch of smoked paprika powder
50 ml passata
Here's how to make it
Fire up the bbq to 160 degrees.
Mix the marinade ingredients together and sprinkle over the chicken wings. Let the chicken marinate in this for one to two hours.
Grill the chicken pieces for ten minutes on the direct heat of the barbecue. Then let the chicken cook gently for another half hour on indirect heat.
Meanwhile, make the sauce from the curry and the other ingredients and in the last minutes of the baking time, spread half of the sauce on the chicken pieces with a brush. Then grill the smeared chicken pieces for a few more minutes.
Serve the chicken with the rest of the sauce.
Tip: If you don't have a bbq, you can bake the chickenwings in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
