This year marks forty years since Klaas van Kalken started selling edible oils and fats from home under the name 'De Oliehoorn'. In doing so, he laid the foundation for the traditional preparation of our sauces. Something for which we are of course very grateful to Klaas.
With the arrival of Wim Dijk, Oliehoorn developed strongly in recent years. The company's base was in the cafeteria and snack bar business, where its mayonnaises, fry sauces, ketchups and curry sauces were in great demand.
Wim brought Frisian swagger into the tent.
And that's still there.
Partly because of this, we make our own choices.
With Arjan we have an innovator in house.
